Podcast #1 - "Excerpts From Handel´s Messiah" » download
(posted:: Sat, 14 Oct 2006 - 23MB)

This is my 2006 demo release which is comprised of almost 500 individual guitar tracks (Electric, Acoustic, Nylon, 12 String and Bass guitar) In an adventurous interpretation of George Frideric Handel's famous Oratorio "The Messiah" which was composed in just 3 weeks time in 1742...

The Excerpts opens with the "Overture" which has amazing counterpoint and polyphony and a grand sense of reverence. The second part of "Excerpts" is an air entitled "He Shall Feed His Flock Like a Shepard" which is typically sung by a female alto and I chose to emulate the female alto lines with a full bodied collection of clean and distorted guitar performances, this track in particular was the hardest track to mix as we set forth to create orchestral dynamics whilst still trying our best to have a sense of beauty and grace...

Lastly, is the world famous "HALLELUJAH CHORUS" which was a challenge to track and mix to say the least...Dan Sindel - 'Excerpts From Handel's Messiah'
This track has at least 156 guitar tracks as I went about emulating a complete orchestral choir with a sonic wall of sound...

"No Samples... No Loops", Just lot's of guitars!!!

As always, Thank you for listening and be sure to visit www.dansindel.us for Guitar Driven Classics - Mp3’s, Videos and More…
